Bio

Hi there! This is Navid and I am currently working as a Staff Scientist at Labcorp where I utilize LC-MS technology to develop and validate bioanalytical methods to analyze small and large molecule therapeutics for drug development. I received my BS and MS in Pharmacy from the University of Dhaka. Next, I obtained a MS in Chemistry and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where I was first introduced to liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. After receiving training on LC-MS based bioanalysis of small molecules and peptides at grad school and as an intern at Streck Inc. Laboratories, I was fortunate to receive postdoctoral training on intact protein analysis using LC/CE/MS at Northwestern University. Since 2014, I have been using chromatography, mass spectrometry, and automation to study what happens at the molecular level when a disease develops, when it's intervened by a 'drug' or 'drug' like entity (what drug does to the body) and what happens to them (what body does to the drug). I am fascinated by "Mass Spectrometers" and where the field evolved in the last decade. Progress ceases when curiosity wears out. There is no end to learning and I feel fortunate to always find learning new things exciting. Thanks for taking the time to visit my page!
